Gel is brushed on and cured under a UV or LED lamp for a glossy, flexible finish. Dip powder bonds a colored powder to the nail for a durable, lightweight feel without a lamp. Both last about 2 to 3 weeks, so it comes down to the look and feel you prefer.

A full set of regular acrylic starts at $45, and a full set in gel or shellac starts at $55. Final pricing depends on length, shape and any custom art you add.
