Nail Repair

One nail fixed quickly so your whole set looks complete again.

From $15~15 minA properly repaired nail matches the remaining life of your current set, restoring that single nail to a condition that holds until your next scheduled maintenance visit.

A cracked or chipped nail in the middle of a wear cycle does not mean you need to start your entire set over. At Beauty Nails Spa, our nail repair service addresses a single nail with the same materials and precision used in the original service, so the repaired nail blends invisibly back into the rest of your set. Whether the break is in an acrylic, Gel X, or gel-color nail, we match the product, shape, and color to restore a seamless look.

Nail repairs in Champaign are one of our most time-efficient appointments, taking roughly 15 minutes for a straightforward fix. We assess the extent of the damage first, then decide whether to rebuild the nail from scratch or reinforce and re-shape the existing structure. If you are due for an acrylic fill-in soon, we often recommend combining the repair with your upcoming maintenance visit, but if the break is uncomfortable or affecting your daily routine, we are happy to see you for a dedicated repair before that scheduled appointment.

Why you will love it

  • Fast appointment that restores a single nail without disturbing the rest of your set
  • Product, shape, and color matched precisely to your existing nails
  • Prevents a small break from worsening into a more significant structural issue
  • Comfortable fix for painful or snagging breaks that catch on clothing or hair
  • Performed with the same sterilized tools used for all services at our Champaign salon
  • Can often be combined with a scheduled fill-in to save a separate trip

Who it is for

Nail repair is for any client with an existing enhancement, whether acrylic, Gel X, dip powder, or gel polish, that has broken, cracked, chipped, or lifted prematurely. It is also a helpful option for clients who have accidentally snagged a nail and want a professional fix that looks as good as the original application.

What to expect

  1. 1

    Damage assessment

We look at the break carefully to understand how deep it goes, whether the natural nail is involved, and what approach will give the cleanest, most durable result.

  2. 2

    Debris removal and prep

Any loose fragments are removed cleanly, the nail is gently buffed around the damaged area, and the surface is prepped for the repair product to bond well.

  3. 3

    Structural rebuild

Depending on the damage, the nail is either built back up with fresh acrylic or gel, or the existing structure is reinforced and re-shaped to its original form.

  4. 4

    Shaping to match the set

The repaired nail is filed and shaped to align exactly with the length and silhouette of the surrounding nails.

  5. 5

    Color and seal

Color is applied to match the existing shade and a fresh top coat is added, blending the repaired nail so it is indistinguishable from the rest.

Longevity and aftercareA properly repaired nail matches the remaining life of your current set, restoring that single nail to a condition that holds until your next scheduled maintenance visit.

  • Give the repaired nail a few hours before putting it under heavy stress such as typing or gripping
  • Apply cuticle oil around the base of the repaired nail daily as with the rest of your set
  • If the repair feels uneven or uncomfortable within the first day, return so we can take another look at no additional charge
  • Book your next fill-in or fresh set on schedule to keep the overall structure healthy

Nail Repair FAQs

Can you repair a nail that has broken down to the natural nail?
Yes, though breaks that reach the natural nail need a bit more care. If the natural nail itself is split or torn, we work gently to stabilize the natural nail first before applying the enhancement product over it. Very deep breaks that involve the quick are rare but we will always explain what we are seeing and what your options are before we begin.
How is nail repair priced?
Nail repair starts at $15 for a single nail. If the repair is more involved, such as a full rebuild or matching a complex nail art design, the price reflects the additional time and materials. We will always let you know the cost estimate during the initial assessment.
Should I just wait until my fill-in appointment to fix a broken nail?
If the break is not catching on anything and is not painful, waiting until your upcoming fill-in appointment is perfectly fine. If the nail is snagging, uncomfortable, or you are worried the break will spread, coming in for a dedicated repair is the safer choice.
